Troy Patrick Kosal for Romeo School Board

As a parent of four children who have attended Romeo Community Schools, my connection to this district is both personal and long-standing. Two of my children have already graduated from Romeo, having spent their entire academic careers in our schools, and two are still students in the district today. Our family has experienced Romeo schools from the elementary years through graduation, giving me a firsthand understanding of the important role our schools play in the lives of students, families, and our community.

Throughout my life, I have been committed to leadership and public service. As a retired military pilot, I learned the importance of preparation, teamwork, accountability, and making responsible decisions. I continue that commitment to service as Chairman of the Washington Township Zoning Board of Appeals and Commander of the Romeo VFW. These experiences have reinforced the importance of listening to different perspectives, asking thoughtful questions, being transparent, and always remembering who you are there to serve.

I am running for the Romeo Community Schools Board of Education because I want to give back to a school district that has been such an important part of my family's life. I want to support strong academics, safe schools, our teachers and staff, meaningful parental involvement, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Most importantly, I want to listen to our community and make thoughtful decisions that provide opportunities for every student to succeed.

Romeo has been part of my children's lives from their first days of school through graduation, and I want to help ensure future generations have the same opportunity to learn, grow, and be proud to call themselves Romeo Bulldogs. For me, it comes down to one simple commitment: putting Romeo’s kids first.
