Romeo Community Schools operates with an annual budget of more than $80 million. As taxpayers, parents, and community members, you have a right to know how those dollars are being spent.

I will work to ensure we are investing in the future, not simply funding the ideas and curriculum of the past. That does not mean abandoning the basics. Reading, writing, math, critical thinking, and personal responsibility must remain the foundation of a strong education. But we also need to build on those fundamentals and connect them to the opportunities our students will face after graduation.

Our students need real-world skills and exposure to growing career fields, skilled trades, technology, internships, college opportunities, and military service. We should constantly ask whether our investments are preparing students to compete, not just within Macomb County, but across Michigan and beyond.
